I wrote a review on home advisor for work that Steve did for my mom (Diane) and I. I want to make sure Google gets the memo as well! He actually has almost 500 5-star reviews on home advisor! Here is my review: Steve and his employee Walter were amazing! Steve responded quickly to my quote request and gave me a fair price. He did not try to add a bunch more work and inflate the price (which another electrician tried to do). Steve explained why I did not need the extra work and even guaranteed his work! Both men were efficient and friendly! I had my work done today and have already referred him to 2 others. I can not say enough good things- just really great people!!

Worst electrician to deal with! This coming from someone whose father was an electrician. Steve from SJ will not listen to you if you have questions or comments. He cuts you off from talking every time you speak. He is extremely lazy with his work. I had him hook up a motion sensor light and when he called to say the job was done the light didn't even work when I went to check it. He told me, you hired me to install a light not trouble shoot a problem. Ok well I didn't buy a new light (replacing one that was already installed) to not have it work. He rushes through his work and is more worried about collecting money than actually doing a good job. I asked hime several times for the instructions for the lights he installed to be able to adjust the sensitivity setting. Every time he cut me off saying, ya ya ya I get em to you. I still haven't seen them. Last time I called to try and get the spec sheets again he now tells me, I will go to Home Depot and take a picture oft the serial number so you can google it. That's the kind of guy and work you will get if hiring Steve from SJ Electric. Save yourself time money and headache by not ever contacting this very rude and unprofessional to do any type of electrical work. And yes I had to hire a different electrician to fix all there problems Steve ignored and never fixed.
