I am a tenant under WW, and my experience has been extremely disappointing and distressing. From the very beginning, we were harassed by the letting agent to secure the deposit, despite written information stating tenants had 24 hours. We received repeated phone calls in under 10 hours. Once the deposit was paid, WW sent emails to our employers and landlords over the same weekend without giving us adequate notice to contact them ourselves, which was unprofessional. On move-in day, no one informed us that the building elevator was out of service.. We were also not told how to operate the hot water system, which required a card that we only received days later—leaving us without hot water. In less than a year, we have had four different property managers due to staff leaving. Every time we raised an issue, we were told our manager no longer worked there and were passed to someone new without notice or proper handover. When our hob stopped working, the response was slow and unsympathetic. This happened while I was undergoing breast surgery and required a restricted diet due to being in remission from cancer. It took weeks to replace, forcing us to rely on takeaway food for nearly three weeks. The most serious issue has been a severe mouse infestation . We found evidence of breeding, including dead pups in our living space. Despite formally reporting this on 14 January and explaining the health implications, meaningful action was not taken. Communication from the property manager was inconsistent and, at times, demonstrably untrue. I repeatedly had to escalate issues to senior staff just to get updates. Overall, this has been a nightmare of a tenancy. As a tenant, you feel your voice, health, and wellbeing do not matter. As a landlord, I would seriously question their ability to manage properties or retain long-term tenants. I would not recommend WW to either tenants or landlords.
I am a tenant managed by Winchester White, and my experience has been nothing short of appalling. From day one, we were hounded by the letting agent to secure the deposit despite written information stating we had 24 hours. We received multiple phone calls within 10 hours. Once paid, they contacted our employers and landlords over the same weekend without giving us a chance to notify them first - completely unprofessional. On move-in day, nobody told us the building lift was out of service. We also weren’t shown how to operate the hot water system, which required a prepaid card we didn’t receive for days - so no hot water when we moved in. In under a year, we’ve been through four different property managers due to constant staff turnover. Every time we raised an issue, we were told our manager had left and were passed to someone new with no handover. You never speak to the same person twice. When our hob broke, the response was painfully slow. My partner was recovering from breast surgery and needed a controlled diet due to being in remission from cancer. It took weeks to replace, leaving us reliant on takeaways for nearly three weeks. The worst issue has been a severe mouse infestation, including evidence of breeding and dead pups in our living space. We reported this on 14th January and it is now the 29th - 15 days later - with no resolution. Communication has been inconsistent and at times simply untrue. I’ve had to escalate repeatedly just to get a basic update. And now, to top it off, they’ve chased us for rent they claim we underpaid - except we haven’t. The tenancy agreement clearly states the rent increase applies from 1st February 2026, not January. They even sent a screenshot of the contract that proves our point, not theirs. Apparently nobody there actually reads the agreements they send out. This has been an absolute nightmare. As a tenant, you are made to feel like your time, your health, and your home don’t matter. As a landlord, I would seriously question their ability to manage properties or retain tenants. Avoid Winchester White
After renting with Winchester White for 4 years I expected a civil ending (at least), however our experience was awful. Some of the team are lovely but sadly the overwhelming experience was poor. From a renters perspective: - They (one guy in particular) shouted at me on the phone. - We were lied to, we were leaving a few weeks early and they said it would be on the market to try and get us some money back but used this time to paint and not advertise. - Winchester White weren't sure who was responsible for the flat themselves or the landlord and kept getting confused. - We were tricked into ending our contract early, for them to then tell us our full deposit wouldn't be returned. For landlords: - Their recommended maintenance people paint over mould, it's about speed rather than good quality work. - They got confused about who should communicate with us, themselves or the landlord. - They signed new tenants on to start at the flat not realising our tenancy hadn't ended, resulting in a stressful few calls back and forth.
I’ve just moved into a new rental property in London thanks to Winchester White. My experience with them and particularly Helaina has been amazing and I would really recommend them to anyone. The first few weeks of looking for a property to rent in London was incredibly stressful however when I got in contact with Helaina the whole experience completely changed. She kept my flatmates and I in the loop via WhatsApp and always answered all of our questions. She was easy to contact, friendly and we really felt like she was on our side during the whole process which is different to my experiences with lettings agents before. In addition, management clearly engages with their staff and is aware of which stage prospective tenants are within the process. Helaina always kept us informed as to what the next step was and I really trusted that she and the agency were working hard to secure us a home. We are really grateful and really appreciate your help.
Becky was a delight; right from our first phone call I knew she was the woman to get the job done and she beyond exceeded my expectations. In a competitive market, you want an agent who will fight your corner to get you the property you want, particularly when there are multiple offers on the table, and Becky kept us informed every step of the way, answered every question (of which I had many) and stuck with us right over the finish line. We've now moved in and settled into our home, and couldn't be more grateful for her patience, determination and diligence. Thank you Becky!
