We installed our solar panels in August 2024. The installers and techs were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. It took a few days to do the installation. Since then we notice a slight difference in our usage. We don’t have a battery installed yet but plan to. Overall a great experience and look forward to working with Sunshine again in the near future.
This is the worst decision I have ever made in my life. Everything was a lie!!! Do not get solar panels. The set up process was easy. Everything was smooth and makes you feel like you are making a really good decision for the environment and for your pocket. My panels were installed about 2 years ago. The nightmare begins after the panels are installed and it’s too late to back out!!!! 1st lie was that they would reimburse me for my light contract cancellation fee since I would have to switch to a solar buy back plan. That was $240 I never got back. 2nd lie was that would have a small or no light bill. I currently have to pay $180 for my panels AND still $150 light bill each month because all the solar buy back plans offered only give you pennies in solar credit. Most plans will only let you offset you solar production with your usage, but you still have to pay the center point per kWh fees and taxes, which still amounts to quite a bit of money. 3rd lie was that they would monitor your panels to make sure they were always working correctly and that I would also be able to monitor them as well. I did not get access to the app to view the solar panels production until well over a year after having the panels up even though I requested access multiple times. And once I did get access, it turned out that 2 of my panels were not working. Who know for how long they have not been working??!! Tech told me in January they were going to come out a service them. They came in February and said they needed to order parts. In May, they let me know they still were waiting on parts. It is now October and they still have not been fixed and now another panel is not working!!!!! It’s just horrible!!!
Sunshine recently finished our solar installation and we couldn’t be happier! The whole team was a pleasure to work with. They handled all of the red tape that comes along with permissions, inspections, and the guidelines that my utility provider required for grid connection. They even handled dealing with me! I turned out to be a little (ok, a lot) more picky than I was anticipating, but they kept working with me as my understanding evolved and I narrowed down what it was that I really wanted. There was never even a hint of sales pressure on their side. It was truly a process of understanding what it was that I wanted to achieve and turning that into thoughts on how to get there. The installation went smoothly and everyone involved did great work. Most importantly of all, the system has performed great! So, what are you waiting for… give them a call!
From the start you really can tell that Sunshine Renewable Solutions is different. They truly care. I was hit by so many "Solar is Free" and "The Government Pays 4 Solar" ads that I had to look more into solar. The first solar installation companies were very pushy and tried to get me to sign right away BUT I did my due diligence. That is when I found Sunshine as one of the highest rated companies online. I was really impressed that they had a 5 star rating with over 100 reviews AND they are local. Was a Win Win.
Had a great experience installing solar on our home. The staff was easy to work with, communicated the steps, and did all the leg work. The installation team was absolutely delightful! The team lead explained exactly what was happening and the team was kind and respectful. Our project manager was wonderful! as someone who does project management for a living, I was impressed with their organization. The system is working great! We had a new roof prior to installation and haven't had any problems. Our August bill was historically around $750 and this year it was $140.
