So DISAPPOINTED! We saw a ceiling stain that appeared to be from a water leak from our upstairs master bath. We called John Moore plumbing to see if they could detect if there was an active leak that needed repair. The first plumber (there were multiple) came out and said that the only way he could do a true inspection was to cut the ceiling and make sure that the pipe above it was not still leaking. It made sense. He recommended a contractor to come out and cut the ceiling drywall and install a dryer to dry out the ceiling joist and the wood. After this, it took three separate plumbers to come out and do the inspection to see if the pipe in the ceiling was leaking from the shower or not. Thankfully, it was not. It appears that the shower drain was clogged and had overrun creating a small leak in the bathroom tile transition which resulted in the damp ceiling below. However, after the plumber inspected the pipe, we called the contractor to come fix our ceiling and replace the drywall. To our utter surprise we were told that they don’t do that! They told us to read the fine print in the contract, which says that they don’t do these repairs. Why in the world would someone cut open your ceiling and not expect to repair it?!! Why didn’t they say that BEFORE THEY CUT OPEN OUR CEILING?!! This was the service that was recommended by John Moore! When we contacted John Moore, they said it was not up to them to do anything. It was on the contractor that opened up the drywall. After $1900 we still have a hole in our ceiling and there was really no leak. The plumber said to use Drano once a month to keep the shower clear. Well thanks for that $1900 professional advice! I have never been so frustrated and disappointed, almost $2000 spent and a hole in our ceiling that still needs to be repaired, resulting in more money coming out of our pocket. And no one wants to take responsibility for this. Disappointing!! Since John Moore recommended this contractor they should stand behind the full repair or make the contractor come and repair our ceiling. Please beware and don’t get taken advantage of like we have.
I had my house repiped by John Moore and it was left looking like a war zone. My shower worked fine before the service. Now the water trickles out with either hot water or cold water. It was topped off with debris (Sheetrock, dirt, dust, wood particles) left everywhere. I didn’t realize the job was finished until I stared getting surveys. A signing off process would with the service agent would have been great. We could have discussed the current issues and got them resolved. The John Moore team I had was very enthusiastic, energetic, and encouraging in the beginning of the process and left me hanging at the end with a hole left in the wall.
I really liked working with Joe Harb. He wasn’t pushy, he was super friendly, and he did a great job checking my AC system. We went with a turbo compressor replacement and I feel good about it. Thanks Joe
My technician Eric R. was very courteous and knowledgeable and he was also very thorough in checking out my ac system for the upcoming summer months. Eric was also was very meticulous in how he did his work and took time to go over various issues concerning my ac system, but he didn’t try and convince me of having to get things done immediately. He left those matters with me and gave me options as I may need them. I appreciate his awareness and his courtesy in how he handled everything. He also told me about their twice a year service which includes a heating check up which I decided to go ahead with in advance. I would recommend Eric to others who are searching for someone to service their ac unit and I hope to see him back this fall. Thanks again John Moore and thanks Eric!
If I could give zero stars I would. Bi annual maint for both my units that are 6 years old and now o have a unit that they have fried the compressor. Tech left my home for 1.5 hours without letting me know and my unit was disassembled on the ground. I did not know if he was ever coming back. Called and lvm to management and no one returned my call. I asked a questio and the tech said, I don’t get paid enough to argue. It was one question. He said he won’t go back and forth to answer questions. I will never use this company for anything. They fried my compressor and walk away.
