Beautiful library, large inventory of books and other amenities. Lovely southern hospitality!
My favorite branch of Greenville County Public Library system. It's the remodeled main library. There is a wonderful Youth section, very well- stocked references, and ample computers for people to research. I usually visit the used book store and I donate books as well. Through the whole system, I can usually find books to borrow for my book club and popular ones that I don't want to own.
The Greenville Main Library is a solid downtown library. They have a decent CD and DVD collection, which I still appreciate, and the kids’ book section has been useful for our family. I’m also old school enough to still use things like microfilm, and the staff were very helpful getting me set up with the machine. That kind of help makes a big difference. Just a heads up: parking is in a paid lot, so plan for that if you are visiting.
Outstanding collection. If you're serious about South Carolina history you must visit the South Carolina Room with it's exceptional archives. Unfortunately I can't rate this place higher because of "the Homeless Problem." I love visiting local libraries and having been to dozens of both suburban and downtown locations, this is the most problematic. I hope they can solve this issue for the sake of the entire community 🙏 😕
This is a nice-sized, well mapped library with great resources and staff. I highly recommend it.
