Overall, A++. Highly recommend. The representative on the phone at Peycor was VERY nice and helpful, and extremely professional. She had a technician come out the same morning we talked. Jason, the technician, had my problem resolved in about an hour. This company is VERY good to deal with and is very good at their jobs! Background- My air handler shorted out the week before Christmas, and I knew there would be a lot of people on vacation and a lot of work orders stacked up after the holiday. I went to Walmart and bought a few space heaters for my house during the sub-freezing conditions. Monday 27 Dec, I called Peycor, and they sent a tech out that morning to fix my system. Jason found the low-voltage short in record time. He fixed the short and messy wiring job from the original installers, and then tested the system to ensure the repair finished the job. My house is warm again with no further problems. I would DEFINITELY do business with Peycor again!
We requested service with this company through “American Home Shield” a home warranty program we have on our home. American Home Shield made arrangements with “Peycor” who is contracted with them to handle their warranty repairs. Our repair was scheduled 5 days out as “Peycor” said they could not service us any sooner. We were completely fine with these arrangements. “Puycor” called us the day of our service to reschedule our service for an additional 5 days out. Mind you at this point that would have made my family go 10 days without AC and this was a minimum. We had no idea if parts would have to be ordered to complete the job. I asked the lady I was talking to if this was the absolute earliest they could come. She stated that they did not work on weekends and that American Home Shield did not pay them enough to work on the weekends. I reminded her that I had paid my deductible in advance and had already waited 5 days for my service. In effort to get service earlier I decided to call American Home Shield to see if we could find another company. I made that call at 9:00am and at 10:59 I had a service tech from another company at my door. Peycor wanted to reschedule due to the threat of rain today. They wanted to reschedule us the following week (5 additional days out). Mind you this would have put my service call behind customers that had scheduled service after I originally requested my service this was why I questioned them about coming the weekend. "Comfort First'' called me and said due to the threat of rain they WANTED to come early. This is the difference in a quality company that cares about providing a good service. Please beware of using the service of Peycor.
I had an issue at my home Ms. Cynthia was so pleasant to speak with. I didn't feel like just another "number" Her level of commitment and concern to my issue of having no heat made me feel very taken care of. The service guy Jason was very smart, respectful and Covid conscious. Which I greatly appreciate because of my elderly grandmother. We all loved him. If I have an issue with my ac unit in the future I will definitely call Peycor again.
So through my home warranty company Peycor came out to fix my AC. Had a couple of issues. The capacitor and contact needed to be replaced, which home warranty covers. The other issue was my wife had accidentally cut the the thermostat line a few weeks before. I was able to Jimmy rig it, and get my AC going. 2 weeks later, it conked out = (capacitor and contact). So due to home owner negligence, they won’t cover the cut thermostat line. So I asked how much would it be. With tax it came out to $374.00. That seemed awfully high to me. I’m no AC tech, but after doing some extensive research online and even calling a couple of diff AC companies, both of them were a $100 or more then a $100 cheaper. I paid in cash. And I felt like I’ve been ripped off. The tech was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. He also told me that my Freon levels were low but to add more it would be $110 plus tax. Between the $350 and deductible I was already $500 in. So I passed on the Freon until my buddy visits from out of state that does HVAC work. You would think them charging me so much on the replacement of the thermostat line, they could of cut me some type of break on the Freon.
I am very pleased with my interaction from start to finish with peycor. From the lady that answers the phone to the tec that came out to the pricing yall were the best. If I ever need service again you are the ones I'm calling
