Had issues with smoke detectors shorting out plus 3 light switches that would occasionally pop when flipping on and off. Being that I’m not an electrician I started calling around for electricians, 2 which never called back. My wife said we just received the Five Star Rated 2026 Montgomery County Homeowner Referral Guidebook, we found Mr Sparky and decided to give them a call. They immediately answered the phone and had someone scheduled the next morning. They texted updates and confirmed the appointment then sent the bio of the electrician. Larry was the electrician that was sent to our home and after listening to my description of the issues he informed us of what he was going to do to find the issue with costs, after our approval he began working. After finding the issue he had it fixed within an hour. He then replaced 3 bad light switches of which one of them had burned and we didn’t even know it. I would recommend Mr Sparky and if you can request Larry! Thanks Larry for a great job.

I recently had an issue with bad wiring in the BY because of old construction. Ryan, Jarit, and the team and Mister Sparky responded with alacrity but also empathy, fully understanding my situation and giving me the right answers and with ease of understanding it. They were fully transparent in all steps and gave me a reasonable price for the excellent work they had done. Other houses will likely run into the same situation that I have, and I will be handing over all the contact information over to them for future work. Excellent job through-and-through.

Anytime I deal with electrical work, I expect the electrician to either find something unusual or give me a sales pitch about how my home isn’t up to code. Recently, I needed a Level 2 EV charger installed and reached out to Mister Sparky after several vendors—recommended by car dealers—only provided quotes based on photos. I wanted someone to actually come out, inspect everything, and make sure my electrical setup was correct before giving an estimate. That’s where Jeremy and Mister Sparky stood out. Jeremy could have easily undercut the competition after I showed him the quotes I received and just completed the job. Instead, he took the time to provide a thorough evaluation and offer thoughtful suggestions for future improvements. He pointed out areas where previous work could have been done better and clearly explained what he recommended fixing. What really stood out was that he sat down with me and walked through everything in detail. I never felt like I was being asked to approve work blindly. Since I hadn’t experienced any electrical issues, I wouldn’t have known anything needed attention—but Jeremy made sure I understood exactly what was going on and why certain improvements mattered for safety. Some of his recommendations were more extensive and aligned with best practices, but there was zero pressure to move forward with them. He simply explained their importance, then proceeded with the EV charger installation and helped me map out a plan for any future upgrades. Jeremy earned my trust by taking the time to educate me and make sure I fully understood my home’s electrical system, rather than pushing unnecessary work. That level of transparency and professionalism is hard to find.

Mister Sparky dispatched Martinez Jovany to my home to troubleshoot and repair a short in one of the circuits that was causing a breaker to trip. He patiently went through all of the outlets and fixtures on that circuit until he located the problem and repaired it. Jovany was very thorough and had the right equipment and parts to solve my issue. He also provided options and cost for additional service including replacing an aging and failing ground rod and installing a whole house surge protector which I chose to have him install. I was very impressed by his expertise and I would highly recommend him. Thank you, Jovany!
