My husband and I both are grateful to have found Addison Dental when we moved to SWFL! The whole staff (from reception front office to dentists to techs, etc) are so lovely. We are greeted warmly by all and get very personalized care. Every dentist and every dental technician we have had there has been GENTLE, caring, skilled and very informative as to what will be executed, step by step, and extremely thorough both in their explanations, their work, and in working with insurance to minimize our out of pocket payment. Everything is done in a very meticulous, yet warm manner, making sure the patient is well-informed and comfortable. I have been truly impressed by this dental care. They make my dental visits very pleasant ! Amazing. Thank you!!
*** In response to “owners” comment lol I think I was pretty detailed and like I said I knew this would be a generic response. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this dental office. I scheduled two $99 new-patient specials, one for myself and one for my husband. The special advertised a dental exam, X-rays, and a teeth cleaning. Before scheduling, I specifically asked the receptionist, Roslyn, whether the price was truly $99 and if there were any hidden fees or conditions. She assured me there were not. Upon arrival, I completed my X-rays and was then informed by the hygienist that I would not qualify for the cleaning included in the special because she believed I needed a deep cleaning instead. I understand that some patients may require additional treatment, and I was open to discussing those recommendations. However, what was unacceptable was being told that I could not receive the basic cleaning that was advertised as part of the special. Dentist also stated that if you have lived in Northern states you tend to have more calculi which is the biggest myth ever said. I don’t know how I held back my laughter. His comment was not factual, it seemed he just needed to try and sell to me further treatments. Shameful if you ask me. I was then quoted approximately $280 for a regular cleaning and nearly $2,000 for a deep cleaning. Going from a confirmed $99 special to a $2,000 treatment plan without any prior disclosure feels extremely misleading. Had I been informed when scheduling that the cleaning included in the promotion could be denied based on the office’s evaluation, I would have appreciated the transparency and made an informed decision before coming in. The hygienist then brought the dentist in to discuss the situation. While the treatment recommendations were explained, I left feeling more like I was being sold an expensive treatment plan than receiving patient-centered care. To make matters worse, I ended up paying $80 for X-rays and do not feel that a thorough dental exam was even performed. The dentist barely looked in my mouth before recommending extensive treatment. As a result of this experience, I immediately canceled my husband’s appointment. After what occurred during my visit, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding with his appointment and did not want him subjected to the same experience. What began as a straightforward $99 special turned into a discussion of thousands of dollars in treatment costs, which was not what was represented when I scheduled the appointments. I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years, and one thing that is essential is transparency. Patients deserve clear information about costs, limitations, and treatment recommendations before they commit to an appointment. If there is a possibility that a patient may be deemed ineligible for the cleaning advertised in a promotion, that should be clearly disclosed upfront. Patients should not arrive expecting a $99 service only to be told they need treatment costing nearly $2,000 and that the advertised cleaning will not be provided. I also anticipate that the standard response to this review will be a generic request to call the office. However, the appropriate course of action would have been for the office to proactively contact me directly to address my concerns, especially since my full name is already on file and matches my appointment information. Unfortunately, this experience caused me to lose trust in this office. I left feeling misled, frustrated, and disappointed by the lack of transparency, and I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience.
The best dental experience I’ve had. I felt comfortable and was very impressed with the information shared with me. Hug Leanor is a very patient and kind dental hygienist. Edwardo DDS is one of the most knowledgeable dentist I’ve met. Additionally, the front team, the manager gave that “wow” service . Thank you everyone for a remarkable experience!
Our experience with everyone we encountered was wonderful. The dentist and his hygienist were both lovely to my nine-year-old with a cracked tooth. She left in no pain and was telling her sister, how She wasn’t afraid because of how nice they were to her. Thank you so much for your care.
Warm and kind front office staff. The hygienist is wonderful. She is attentive to my needs for maximum comfort! The doctor is always attentive, knowledgeable and educating me, gentle, caring touch and very kind. He has a wonderful sense of humor which I appreciate.
