I hired Carlos to build custom cabinets for my home office and could not be happier with the result. From the initial consultation to the final installation, he was professional, attentive to detail, and easy to work with. The quality of his work speaks for itself; the cabinets are beautifully crafted and exactly what I envisioned. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again and highly recommend him.

Working with Angela, Carlos, Oscar, and the team as a whole has been a highlight of rebuilding our home. We provided some designs in our kitchen, but he also sketched one bathroom vanity on site and talked through the decision making process (which was perfect!). The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the communication during the build was excellent. When we ran into issues with the designs as planned, or while installing, they communicated well and continually assured us that we would come to beautiful solutions - which they did (and they made sure we were on board with them!). Also when we noticed a few sticky drawers or a concern, they came and addressed our concerns! We look forward to working with the team on our future projects to come.

Instead of replacing our kitchen cabinets entirely, we decided to have them professionally repainted. The team removed doors carefully, sanded surfaces thoroughly, and applied a smooth finish over several days. Compared to before, the kitchen feels dramatically brighter and more modern without the cost of a full remodel. The paint finish looks even and durable, and the updated color completely refreshed the space. We were surprised how much impact this project had on the overall appearance of the kitchen. It feels cleaner, newer, and much more inviting now while keeping the original cabinet structure intact.

We used Carlos to do custom woodwork including paneling and cabinetry in 2023. Upon install we had some crooked knobs and cabinet doors but we have not complained. Now about a year and a half later we have cracks in the paint around all the seems and joints in our paneling and cabinetry. Carlos claims it's the painter's problem, the painter claims it's Carlos problem. It appears what the issue is, really, is that Carlos does not do any of the final prep on his work and leaves it without caulking, gluing or otherwise and turns you over to the painter to blame any sloppy work on the painter in the end. It seems all of this wood work should not be sinking and splitting because "the house moves" as he told me and should be better prepped and installed. He continues to say this is not their problem - so I guess it is ours to have to sand and repaint and fix it only a year after it was installed. I would not recommend them as this is not what anyone would expect to happen so soon after it is built.

We are very pleased that we chose Custom Carpentry by Carlos for our project. Carlos and his team were very professional and were able to bring my wife's vision to life. Will definitely be contacting them again for future projects.
