I recently had a major issue with my DSG gearbox where a seal had blown and caused the car to lose all its oil at once, leaving it completely immobile. Craig diagnosed the problem quickly, rebuilt the mechatronics unit, replaced the gearbox oil, and had the car driving better than it ever has. His communication was excellent throughout, and he took the time to explain every step clearly. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work involved, and he even asked me to bring the car back after a couple of days to check for leaks, showing real professionalism and care. I also had my brakes stripped and cleaned by him, and he did a great job at a fair price. Craig is honest, skilled, and reliable, a mechanic you can genuinely trust. I’ll definitely be coming back for future work. Highly recommended.

Brilliant service from the whole team. Craig said he’d get my audi done and he did. Polite, friendly and trustworthy. Knows exactly what he’s doing and takes the time out of his day even when busy to ensure he understands what you want and need doing, and isn’t shy to let you know if somethings being a nuisance. Appreciated the honesty from the start and would definitely trust the lads again for any other gearbox services. If you want anything done at a fair price and honest service, no better place.

Everything about this place is a 5 star. Excellent customer service, top mechanics, fair prices . They’ve done a great job replacing whole transmission on my merc (I believe as a result that some “reputable” garages couldn’t figure out what was wrong at earlier stage). Got nothing to say but good things about experience of dealing with Craig and the team.

I was told by another garage that my gearbox needed a refit. I took my car to Valley Gearbox repairs, and Craig correctly identified the issue as a wheel bearing, rather than a gearbox bearing, which was a much cheaper fix. The customer service was great, and Craig is a top bloke. Highly recommend Valley Gearbox Repairs!!!

I had my gearbox fixed today at this shop. From the first interaction with the staff I felt a very friendly and welcoming environment, which immediately eased any tension. Technically, Craig was very professional and gave a clear explanation of the issue. The job was completed in just one day. An excellent place for gearbox repairs, especially when other garages say no to major gearbox faults. Highly recommended.
