For the last 8 months Cross Development has been building a warehouse/facility across the street from us. The work has been fairly well contained. But yesterday 4/22/2020 at around 9:30 am we noticed they were spraying oil based fence stain. I realize this is not the end of the world but that stain was atomized and flew over to our side of the street. It then landed on our customer cars. This contaminated their vehicles, several of which we were engaged in painting. As soon as we realized what was happening we immediately walked across the street and spoke to the folks engaging in the staining. They spoke very little English. As best we could we communicated that this was causing damage to our customers cars. At that time the moved their spraying equipment to the back of the property away from us. They then began spraying. At 9:50 am we called Cross Development directly and spoke with Latonya about our concerns. She said she would contact the foreman and have him contact us immediately. No one called us. We called the police. They arrived at 10:50 am. The officer communicated our problem to the individuals spraying the stain. He then came back over to us and told us the information was communicated and that he encouraged them to stop spraying to prevent further issues. The officer then left. At 11:50 the painters started spraying again. We then recalled Latonya and asked her for assistance. She said she was going to contact Rodney Glesser about the problems and he would contact us. As of today 4/23/2020 no one has called us. This situation has created damage to our customer cars and contaminated our intake filters in our equipment. It is irresponsible to spray paints outside in a manner that damages neighboring businesses and vehicles. I would strongly recommend using a different construction company.
